Frere Jacques, Kingston-Upon-Thames
Stopped here with friends on a lovely sunny day for a break from our studies at Kingston University. None of us very hungry, but fancied a little snack and even though they were busy They were happy to cater for us.
This French restaurant seemed popular with outdoor seating along the river Thames. There menu seemed lovely ranging from duck to sea bream.
This is when I found a gem! “Sizzling Burgundy Snails” cooked in garlic and pastis for £5.95. I hadn’t had snails since I first tried them on a school trip to France! I was pleasantly surprised to find these and munched away on them in the sun! Bliss.
Will love to come back here for a whole three course meal, food appears of good quality and reasonable prices!
